You Need More Than One Dress for Your Wedding - Bride Outfits For Your Wedding Events

Bride outfit ideas

When I was doing my wedding planning, I thought I just needed one dress to walk down the aisle in and wear for the wedding reception on my big day. I couldn’t have been more wrong! While I didn’t have a huge wedding, I did plan for my wedding to be a destination wedding event. I imagined a weekend full of celebration with my beloved friends and family. There was a welcome drinks night and a rehearsal dinner night, both which I needed to dress up for. But up to that point I’d only really planned my wedding dress. And so, about one month before the big day I realized I was missing dressy clothes for my wedding events and was off scrambling for more bride outfits.

Choose the perfect white dress for your welcome party, rehearsal dinner & post-wedding brunch

I wanted to wear something really elegant and feminine, dresses that would be great leading up to the big day. They're the kinds of dresses I now make for my own collection. When I first designed the Isabelle Silk Dress, I only made it in black, but I loved the elegant style line so much that I thought this dress in white would be so beautiful. It would be the perfect dress for a bride’s wedding weekend, for her welcome party, rehearsal dinner, or second dress for after the ceremony. And what makes it even better is that this timeless maxi dress is cut in the highest quality of handwoven silk, and is so comfortable and luxurious. Unlike the actual wedding dress that might be your dream bridal gown, one that’s poofy, grand, and dramatic, this one is much more relaxed and easy to wear, and you won’t want to take it off.

Consider the modern wedding jumpsuit

What can you wear instead of a dress that is elegant and chic for your wedding events? Another style that I absolutely love is the Gemma Jumpsuit cut in ivory. Not only is the jumpsuit great for a bride’s wedding weekend attire before and after the big day, it can also serve as the wedding ceremony and reception outfit for the bride who wants to wear white, but in a less traditional way than wearing a dress. This one-of-a-kind jumpsuit is cut in an extra wide leg style, in the most flowy silk. You will be sure to step out confidently with grace and wow your wedding guests.
